Florida's Temporary Boating License
Are any operators required to have Boaters License?
Are you Driving jet ski or riding as Passenger?
Operators born ON or AFTER Jan 1st, 1988, are required to take the course. Operators born BEFORE Jan 1st, 1988, are not required to take the course. All operators are required to have Gov Issued valid ID before operating.
Passengers are not required to take the course. Always recommended but not required by the State of Florida.

- Florida requires it to be available at all times for review by the FWC & Law Enforcment whenever operating a PWC on the water.
- Florida also requires you the (operator) to have proper valid Government issued photo identification card on person at all times.

- You will automatically receive the Temporary License by email, take a screenshot of it.

- All Operators wishing to operate rented Jet Ski that were born on or after January 1st, 1988 are required to have in their possession proof of completion of approved boating education course. (Temporary or Lifetime).
OR
- A Nonresident who has completed a NASBLA-approved boater safety course or equivalency examination from another state.

- All Operators wishing to operate must have in their possession proper Valid - Government Issued Photo Identification Card on said (person) at all times before & while operating a (PWC) vessel in the State of Florida.
